We take great interest in teaching children the Scriptures. This is important in order for them to have a good foundation for life. This starts with our Sunday school program. We have exciting classes for every age group where each child is able to learn about God and His Word. Our Sunday school is staffed with teachers who have a desire to make God “real” to their students.
During the Sunday morning preaching time, we have a children’s church for those who are three years of age through third grade. It is our intent to provide the children with Bible teaching that will impact their lives for eternity. Our children’s church staff is eager to make Bible truths easily understood through teaching, crafts, and music.
Our Patch the Pirate Club is our new children’s ministry which is held on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM through the school year. The Pee Wee Club is for kids who are in K-4 through first grade, and the Patch Club serves kids who are in second through sixth grades. The lessons, songs, and adventures encourage age-appropriate spiritual growth through devotional books and Scripture memory.
One of the highlights of our church calendar for our children is our vacation Bible school. Each July, using the Answers in Genesis curriculum, we have a fantastic week of teaching children from our church and the community about God.
Our teens look forward to the meetings each week where they study the Bible and have fun interaction with others their age. Our youth workers really care about them! Our youth are learning how to live for the Lord in an ever-changing world. We’re not content for our teens to grow up to be merely good people. We want them to be godly people.
Activities are planned for the teens to be able have a blast with each other in safe settings.
Many of our teens serve the Lord by assisting our adult workers in our vacation Bible school each summer. They also help in outreach ministries at Calvary Baptist Church.
According to Acts 2:42, the purpose for the New Testament church includes Bible study and fellowship with other believers. Our adult ministries seek to enhance the lives of individual believers by offering times of Bible study along with times of activity and worship.
Our men enjoy a monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast with a delicious fresh-cooked breakfast, Bible message, and informal fellowship.
The women in our church meet each month for the Heart-to-Heart Bible Study. This is a practical study of what the Word of God has to say about topics which impact the lives of women.
